Basics

For puppies and dogs new to obedience, the basics are much more important than training "real exercises". We look to form a happy and fun based relationship with our dogs by using play to build up important basics for our future obedience career! We are proud to say that our dogs can't do any formal obedience when they are 20 weeks old!

In this course your dog will learn:
  • PLAY:  how to play with you, how to change toys,  to bring the toy back to you  
  • RELEASE CUE: to continue with a behaviour for example a sit, until he is released
  • IMPULSE CONTROL:  how to control himself , rather than be controlled by you
  • BODY AWARENESS: how to use his body parts, how to think for himself,   how to become an active partner in your training  and more
  • GOING AROUND AN OBJECT 
  • READY: a way of telling the dog something good is coming 
  • HAND TARGET
  • POSITIONS: how to sit, stand and lie down on a hand sign
Content:
The course consists of nine weekly lessons. Each lesson is divided into seven days, and for each day, you’ll find 3–4 videos on different exercises with accompanying notes. Like a journal, you’ll follow our puppy training journey up close – perfect for replicating or getting inspired.

Duration:
  • The course lasts 6 months.
  • Flexibility included: All lessons are available from the start, so you can learn at your own pace.
Age of the dog:
Suitable for puppies from 8 weeks old.

Standard Option:
  •  Each week, you can upload a training video of up to 5 minutes and receive individual feedback.
  • The limit on short videos helps you focus on the most important training sessions and make targeted progress. Regular posting is more effective than uploading many videos at once every few weeks – it allows us to quickly identify challenges and find solutions.
Extra Option:
  • For those seeking intensive support, we offer the option to post videos without restrictions and receive feedback.
